GREEK MYTHOLOGY AND ASTROLOGY

Astrology was the central part of Greek culture and was deeply intertwine with Astronomy, science, philosophy and religion and were commonly associated with astrology, even though many ancient cultures left recorded evidence that they have the same god with the same exact attributes and power but under different names. Similar evidence was found about happened with zodiac signs several cultures around the world share the same or similar zodiac signs with related to the same stars alignment. Greek was one of the cultures that are commonly associated with Astrology. Greeks didn’t believed on anything blindly, there were logic people, therefore in order to accept and believe on what was going on with their lives and to make them  follow the society laws there had to be an answer of ‘why’. Why should we obey this law? why should we harvest the grapes under full moon? why can’t we go to war right now? That’s how their mythology played and even today plays an important role in Greece.

Origin of Greek mythology 

In ancient times,  stars and planets on the sky was the only map used no only to navigate on the sea and to harvest vegetables. Eventually, they found that with the help of the stars they were able to understand, and predict  people’s, animals, ocean and natural events behavior.  The planets  were study , drew and named after main characters of the Greek mythology people would understand and respect.

These characters were called, The Olympians. The Olympians are a group of 12 Greek gods who ruled after the overthrow of the Titans. All the Olympians are related in some way.

The Greek mythology was the stories parents told kids before they were to bed and also they were learned about them at school. Even today, Greeks thanks Zeus for a rainy day.

Geek mythology was extended and the stories were elaborated with the help of smaller planets and the mix or breed of these characters with humans, therefore some of the events on the stories took place here on Earth.

Greek mythology is not essential to understand astrology for non astrology students is just easier to  visualize how every planet and signs behave. Nowadays, the technology make it easier to run a chart and report. Astrology is also considered a science,  because once the right data is processed in a computer the software will provide the future motion of the planets showing someone or event’s tendencies.

There are endless information in an Astrology chart/ Astrological map, therefore there are plenty of reports available for people to use as tools to make decisions.
