Devastating forest fires have been blazing out of control in several regions of Chile for more than three weeks. These fires have taken a toll on many communities and the surrounding countryside. Countless lives have already been lost to the fire. Particularly heartbreaking, are the wild, farm, and pet animal survivors that are in desperate need for food and medical attention.
The hardest hit regions for animal injuries include La Estrella and LItueche of the O’Higgins based on the College of Veterinary Medicine. These areas desperately need farm animal feed and medicines. Several veterinarians are volunteering their services to help the surviving animals.
Elizabeth Byrne has teamed up with Dr Andrea Roa Barrera the volunteer veterinarian coordinator for the cities of Litueche and Navidad. Dr Barrera, colleges, and neighbors have been working tirelessly with their personal resources to provide the help desperately needed.
This fund is to help them purchase supplies and medicines in their effort to save these animals. Please help.
Para todos aquellos que puedan colaborar y estan en Chile esta es la informacion para hacer depositos directo.
